Outreach Coordinator

Hope Havenhill holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Brain & Cognitive Sciences from the University of Rochester, along with a Master of Science in Human Development from the University of Rochester's Warner School of Education and Human Development. Her Master’s thesis on youth community gardening and mindfulness in schools reflects her commitment to community-centered and wellness-focused initiatives.

Hope’s background includes roles in education as an elementary assistant teacher at a nature-based Montessori school and a lead kindergarten teacher at a choice school in Milwaukee, gaining experience in fostering young learners’ growth and development. She has also served as a community liaison at the University of Rochester, connecting off-campus students with the local community through partnerships, events, social media, and resident education initiatives. Her community engagement experience includes mentoring youth at a non-profit after-school program where she supported literacy development and agricultural education.

As Outreach Coordinator at Chicago DBT Institute, Hope brings a passionate and enthusiastic approach to community relationship-building, aiming to connect more people with life-changing mental health resources. She is committed to fostering partnerships and increasing community engagement to ensure that more people can access the transformative care DBT offers.

Hope is known for her warmth, positivity, and dedication to making others feel valued and connected. As a former collegiate athlete in rowing and volleyball, she brings energy and commitment to all she does. Outside of work, she enjoys connecting with others, rowing competitively, reading, and being outside. Through her role, she hopes to foster reliable connections and increase access to mental health resources, contributing to a stronger, more informed mental health community in Chicago and beyond.
